Kasmier

July 31st, 2007 , Posted in Uncategorized

I’ve been taking this little boy’s photos since he was a year & a half old, and he just never ceases to amaze me with his confidence & poise in front of the camera. He gives me PERFECT images every single time, and I just overshoot like crazy because he is so impossibly adorable. It doesn’t help that his mother shops year-round looking for perfect outfits. This was our first summer session, though, so it was fun to have him in shorts & summery tops…the camera just loves this kid, and I do too!
There’s ummm, a few….

the boys of summer

July 24th, 2007 , Posted in Uncategorized

You might recognize these guys from my website…I have an image of them looking through my tire swing on my opening slideshow that I just adore. Their mom really wanted some summertime pictures of them too, so we got this session done on a gorgeous hot sunny day. Dontcha just LOVE little shirtless boys playing hard?

sun kissed blondes

July 19th, 2007 , Posted in Uncategorized

This is the second time I’ve photographed these children and I am always struck by their beauty and gorgeous blonde hair! We had a very hot & sunny day for our session, and the sunlight just played off their hair and gave us some really fun shots. Last year Ava kept giving us that exaggerated three-year-old-fake-smile that is sooo typical of that age group, but THIS year she worked the session like a runway model (which, I’m not convinced she isn’t destined for, lol!). Jake was just a baby last year, and this year he was totally on the move. Thank goodness for the fence, which kept him in one place for the split second I needed to get the shot!

My Favorite Family

July 13th, 2007 , Posted in Uncategorized

These are my very dear friends Sharon & Mike, and their two teenaged daughters. We’ve been meaning to do a photo session forever (uh, like for 10 years!), but it just kept sitting on the "someday" shelf…since we see each other all of the time, it just seemed like it would be easy to do. And so here we are, just a few months from moving, scrambling to do it and meanwhile I am SO bummed because, honestly, WHEN DID THESE GIRLS GROW UP???? I do love the way they look here, everyone just so very cool and laid back, and their tightness as a family really shows. Love you guys!

another year of joy

July 10th, 2007 , Posted in Uncategorized

I photographed this little angel last year at age one; her Storybook is featured on my portrait website. She was a brand new walker with big blue eyes and peach fuzz curls. This year she is running and talking a mile a minute and has beautiful red curls to go with those baby blues, and was a joy to photograph. Here are just a few of my favorites from her session:

after the rain

Last evening after a nice summer shower my neighbor called us to come out & see the beautiful rainbow behind our house…by the time I grabbed my camera, most of it was gone but you can see some of it here -

Mark & Maria

July 1st, 2007 , Posted in Uncategorized

These images are from a wedding that Jason, Jessica, and I did two weeks ago. This is the couple that CHANGED THEIR WEDDING DATE so that we could photograph it! They are so easygoing and fun, & they were up for anything. They didn’t even hesitate when we took them up on the Seventh Street Bridge in front of a crowd of several hundred people waiting to get into PNC Park…everybody clapped & cheered for them (not to mention the wino on the bridge who told Mark that Maria was the most BEE-YOOO-TI-FUL bride he ever saw, lol!). I hope you can see how much love was shining upon them throughout the day !

I love this image of Maria’s mom giving her one last hug before they leave for the church…the emotion in her face says it all:
