Little Dude & Little Fairy

October 29th, 2008 , Posted in Anderson SC Photographer, Clemson SC Children's Photographer, Clemson SC Photographer, Lake Keowee SC Photographer, Seneca SC photographer, South Carolina Children's Photographer, South Carolina Family Photographer

First of all, Gavin just had his third birthday on Monday – I can’;t believe it! He is getting kind of tough in front of the camera now, but I did get these:

I love his look of pure joy in these one with his Dad:

And then I managed to get Genevieve to actually pose for me (briefly) in exchange for "looking for squirrels" with her:

Then, the next day, I bought her a fairy costume at the Children’s Place which she loved and was able to get pics of her running and pretending to fly:

All about art for your home

October 26th, 2008 , Posted in Anderson SC Photographer, Clemson SC Children's Photographer, Clemson SC Photographer, Lake Keowee SC Photographer, South Carolina Family & Children's Photographer

I love, love, love art that is personalized for your home and your family – which, I guess, is why I am a photographer. Nothing pleases me more than seeing photographs or kid’s art proudly displayed in a home – it just feels so cozy, & makes a pretty bold statement that "family" is important here. That’s why these canvases grabbed my attention :

They are 10×10, painted or white, that you personalize with your handprints in very cool colors. I’m thinking that I could even do these myself in colors that are specific to my house! And wouldn’t they look extra cool mixed in with canvas images of your kids? (umm, from Casual Moments Photography, of course!). You can order the kit at a VERY reasonable price from Red Envelope

Growing up fast…

October 25th, 2008 , Posted in Anderson SC Photographer, Clemson SC Children's Photographer, Clemson SC Photographer, Lake Keowee SC Photographer, Portrait Photographer Seneca & Salem SC

So I’ve been photographing these kids since they were babies and I must say all of that experience is paying off -  they have turned into great little models! The first time I did a session for them Jonah was barely walking and I couldn’t get him to hold still long enough to get a shot in focus! Now they are easy and fun, and the images are so THEM!

Finn

Another session at Mingo Park. We actually tried to do Finn’s session last winter around his birthday, but he ended up sick with an ear infection. Now he has tubes and is a happy healthy little boy, and so cute to photograph! I love so many of these, but I’m going to limit posting only a few here.

Just a note…

October 16th, 2008 , Posted in Lake Keowee SC Photographer

I’m in PA after swinging by Stacey’s to spend a day with the Granddolls. I’ll be doing photo shoots all day Friday & Saturday, then returning home on Monday. I will have access to email if anyone has anything pressing to contact me about, otherwise I will be back at work on Tuesday returning calls. Lots of images to post from this busy season! I hope you are all enjoying the gorgeous Fall scenery…the drive north was stunningly beautiful!

Fun at Mingo Park

October 10th, 2008 , Posted in Anderson SC Photographer, Clemson SC Photographer, Lake Keowee SC Photographer, South Carolina Family Photographer

These guys were so, so adorable…and so, so busy! We had a bleak day but the light was still very luminous, and I knew when I saw the eyes on these boys that there were gonna be some good ones. It helped a lot that Mom was very relaxed and was willing to just let the kids play while I got what I could get of two little handsome whirlwinds!

Cook for the Cure

October 10th, 2008 , Posted in Portrait Photographer Seneca & Salem SC

I know the financial news is really bleak now. I know that this means that everyone will be tightening their belts yet again. But I really fear for all of the worthwhile causes out there that depend on the everyday efforts and donations from John Q. Public to keep going…like cancer research.

Here’s something that I thought was a really good idea: Cook for the Cure .
Purchase a specially marked plate, created by KitchenAid and Villeroy
& Boch, and register it online. Make one of your favorite recipes,
put it on the plate, pass it to a friend, and you’re on your way to
making an impact.

KitchenAid will donate $5 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure® every time a plate is passed and registered. Pass the Plate in honor of someone special—or just to help make a difference. They have already raised $6 million! Today I ordered a few of these for gifts…isn’t this a PERFECT grab bag gift or girlfriend gift?
