A fun fun session session | children’s SC photographer Pam Nafziger

December 30th, 2008 , Posted in Anderson SC Photographer, Clemson SC Children's Photographer, Lake Keowee SC Photographer, Portrait Photographer Seneca & Salem SC, South Carolina Family Photographer

Some of you may remember seeing these gorgeous twin girls before on my blog – they were brought to me for a secret session by their Dad as a surprise for their mom: Husband of the Year

This time Missy joined them for some updated images. Look at how they have grown! They look very much alike, but before too long I was easily able to tell them apart. Here are a few of Sarah.

I think.

Look at her dimples! That's how I know it's Sarah. At least I'm pretty sure.

And here is Hannah. She has the blonde hair and real blue eyes. Oh wait, so does Sarah…no, I'm sure this is Hannah.
DSC_2411

Yep that's her. Pretty sure.

How perfect are their outfits?

And the winner is…

December 24th, 2008 , Posted in Clemson SC Children's Photographer

…unanimously, Pat Wisyanski ! Nominated by Yvonne Waller – thanks Yvonne! Here is Yvonne's entry. I think you will see why our judges had no trouble selecting Pat:

A friend of mine,
Pat, is the type of person who is always giving to others. She knows the true
meaning of “Giving Is Awesome”.

 Let’s start in the
beginning. First off, Pat came from a family of 9 brothers and sisters and at an
early age she had to take care of her younger brothers and sisters. Her father
died when she was only 13.  She had to
leave home at the age of 16 because of an abusive stepfather, and she took one
of younger sisters with her to protect her from the abuse. She raised that sister on her own, and still
finished school. Pat then suffered through an abusive first marriage of her
own; although ending in divorce, she emerged a stronger person. She then
started opening her home to other abused women and children. In a successful
second marriage, she has helped in excess of 20 foster children who had no
place else to turn.

Next,
because of addition to drugs, her son and daughter in law decided to abandon
their children. Pat’s grandkids were left in a basket in her front yard, for
her to raise. Pat adopted the children and took on this huge responsibility.
Grandparents left with the responsibility for
the welfare of their grandchildren are often faced with a situation that tests
all their resources at a time when they can least afford it. It didn’t take Pat
long to jump back into the whirlwind of responsibilities, decisions,
disciplinary dilemmas, medical appointments, homework assignments,
parent-teacher conferences, and the list goes on. Pat does all this…and
more…and does it selflessly.

Pat has never had
the extra money to have professional photos of these two angels. She was
overwhelmed with joy when I told her that I was going to nominate her for this
“Giving is Awesome” Award. She would cherish artwork of the two little ones
that fill her life with so much joy.

Pat has spent her
whole life giving to others while having to survive the everyday challenges
that it takes to survive in today’s world.
She makes the most of what life has given her and she meets it everyday
with a smile and an attitude to make the best of life.  That in itself has given hope for those
lives that she has touched. You would have to look far and wide to find a more
deserving person.

Congratulations Pat! I look forward to meeting you and your little ones soon!

Giving Is Awesome Program

December 17th, 2008 , Posted in Anderson SC Photographer, Clemson SC Children's Photographer, Clemson SC Photographer, Lake Keowee SC Photographer, Photographer Seneca SC, Portrait Photographer Seneca & Salem SC

You know someone. You know someone who's experienced a
tragedy, is struggling to stay afloat, is raising kids while holding down more
than one job, or is volunteering selflessly despite extenuating personal
circumstances. You know someone who can't afford custom photography, but who
would cherish it this holiday season. You know someone who deserves a
year-round reminder of their family's spirit, love, and beauty.

You know someone. I guarantee it.

I want to know who they are, and I want to give them the
chance to experience complimentary custom photography – $750 worth, to
be exact. Whether it's canvas or albums, prints for Grandma, or a slideshow to
watch over and over, it's in your power to give them the artwork
they deserve this holiday season.

Oh, and the best part? The person who nominates the
winner receives a $250 session credit. What better reason to show some love
could there possibly be, people?

The rules:

* You cannot nominate yourself, and the person nominated must
sincerely be incapable of purchasing my services. (Being unable to make
mortgage payments for a two-million-dollar-vacation-home in Paris does
not qualify as sincere financial need.)

* The nominee must live within a 30 mile radius of my home in Salem, SC OR McDonald, PA. Tell me who
you know, what they're experiencing, and why they deserve my artwork. Please
include a way to contact both your nominee and yourself as well.

* You must e-mail me the full story here: jnafziger@charter.net

The winner will be announced on Christmas Eve — get
nominating! I can't wait to read all of your entries! Photographers all over the country are doing this, so if the person you are thinking of isn't local to me, you can search the site for someone near them : Giving Is Awesome

Open your heart to someone this holiday season — and thanks
for giving me the opportunity to open mine.

With love,

Pam

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

December 8th, 2008 , Posted in Anderson SC Photographer, Clemson SC Children's Photographer, Clemson SC Photographer, Lake Keowee SC Photographer, Portrait Photographer Seneca & Salem SC, South Carolina Family Photographer

I was in PA this past weekend to visit family & finish up the last of my 2008 sessions. I know this is out of order (I am SO behind in blogging recent sessions, I know) but I just had to post these today because they feel so Christmas-y. It started snowing on Saturday just in time for my sessions, but everyone stayed cheerful despite the freezing cold…and who could ask for a better setting for Holiday card pictures than this?

Last chance for holiday cards!

December 2nd, 2008 , Posted in Uncategorized

If you were a 2008 client and did not order holiday cards, there’s still time! This year I am offering beautiful, press printed double-sided cards with a gorgeous art linen finish for only $60 per set of 25…quite a step up from regular holiday photo cards, and even better with your beautiful images on them. It’s easy, too – just go to my website, Casual Moments Photography , and click on "proofing" – then type in "cards" for the password. Just email or call me with the number of the card you like, which image you wish to use, and how many sets you want. DONE! I will be away this weekend visiting the granddolls and family in PA, but can get your order placed as soon as I get back on Monday, in plenty of time to get them sent out.
