I’ve known Brent & Shelby for awhile; actually  since the days that we would start our St. Patrick’s Day party at 11am, if that gives you an idea! These days I can’t hardly stay awake after 11, and these guys are still up at all hours – but for two very different reasons. They are named Bryce and Sophia! Here are some family pictures that we did in the park:

Finally made myself sit down & choose some recent family images to print big for the space under my transom windows. These are 27×40 (a little odd, but I may frame them later) and mounted on foamcore, hung on the wall with 3M command strips. I still need two more for the windows on the other side, but this is a good start. I’m always amazed at how large images don’t seem nearly so big once they are on the wall!

Jessica and Tom were married on June 5 in a very private ceremony at the end of the leisure trail in Keowee Key – just the two of them (and of course Mom the photographer!). It rained for 48 hours before the ceremony, but miraculously stopped just before they started, and long enough for us to get some good shots afterward. Here is a quick slideshow of the images :

My niece and her friends are leaving tomorrow after visiting us for a week – lots of fun was had by all! All of the kids waterskiied much to Jim’s delight, and everyone got lots of sun and I hope their fill of relaxing. Of course I had to take their picture:

You may recognize these boys from my website – they are on the opening slideshow in the infamous tire swing. Well, they are now 7 and 4 and just could not be any cuter. Could. Not. I haven’t even shown these to their Mom yet, but I can’t even stand it for another minute and just HAVE to show them off.  Here’s Liam – freckled, growing tall & thin, and losing his baby face but giving us a glimpse of what he will look like as a young man:

Everyone loves to grill in the summer – even year round – but I cannot believe how many people I see that don’t know how to clean their grilltop. Some jack up the heat and “burn it off”. That doesn’t get all of the carbon off, and it weakens and wears out the grill. Some try to scrub it with a wire brush. Some never clean it, just keep right on cooking over all of the bacteria that grow on it after it sits for awhile. So I’m going to share with you how my grandfather taught me to clean a grill in the easiest, fastest way there is.

After it cools, remove the grill top. Spray it heavily & thickly with EasyOff oven cleaner, both sides. Wrap in several thicknesses of newspaper and let it sit flat outside overnight. That’s it.  In the morning, unwrap it and spray it off with a garden hose. It comes out shiny clean with no scrubbing!

Try it and you will never again fuss with any other method. No, no – you can thank me later with a hamburger.

Amy has got to be the most organized bride ever;  she sent us a wedding day timeline completed to the minute. All of her wedding planning was well thought out, beautiful, and personalized with her sense of style and it showed! Because everything had been taken care of well in advance, she was the picture of calm serenity on the Big Day and she was able to ENJOY every worry-free moment! She blocked off plenty of time for picture taking, and almost as a reward for being so thorough, God blessed her and Michael with a beautiful sunny day – here are just a few of the MANY fabulous images we got:

Steph and her mom drove out to my place on the lake for her senior session, and although it was hot, we had such a good time! She has the most beautiful green eyes, and she brought just the right clothes to show them off.  We had the best time on the beach…her dress adds such a splash of fun color to the images, and she looks so beautiful in the water with the sand and the sky showing off her look!

Jacquie is getting ready to graduate this week, so we had to hurry to get her pictures done! She had dental work done last year, so we couldn’t do them at the usual time…but who can complain when it resulted in that BEAUTIFUL smile?!
